The Weiler designed 2,800 lbs. (1,270 kg) screed delivers mat quality and a wide paving range. The 7 ft., 8 in. (2.3m) front mount screed is hydraulically extendable to 15 ft. (4.6 m). Highway class chains, conveyor and auger bearings provide long-term reliability. Remote grease lines located on the front counterweight provides easy daily maintenance. The P285 has three different operating positions allowing for optimal visibility while the adjustable, magnetic-resistance intelligent steering system allows for reliable control.
Cat C2.8 Tier 4F/Stage V engine with 74 hp (55 kW) powers the 84-in. (2134mm) track length undercarriage through a 3-speed hydrostatic drive. 12-in. (305 mm) performance, poly pads and 125mm track chain pitch optimize the ride with a 300 fpm (76 mpm) max transport speed.
