Ferrer said he started feeling like he was “chained to the shop and [it] prevented me from doing certain things with the family.”
Family played a big role in Ferrer's decision to switch his career description from cars to trucks and he mentioned that while he owned the car repair shop he noticed the revenue difference between servicing cars and servicing trucks.
“I owned a car repair shop with a partner and noticed that the trucks that we started to service [were] much more profitable than cars,” Ferrer recounted.
This was when he chose to shift towards his current mobile truck repair service. He pointed out that with the ability to go mobile, not only did he make more of a profit from servicing trucks, but it also helped him free up some time.
“I was able to create my own schedule [and] participate in my children’s extracurricular activities,” said Ferrer.
