MCS has launched the Resource Mobile app on iOS and Android. The MCS Resource Mobile app gives technicians and drivers out on the road the ability to complete their tasks via a mobile app, giving feedback to rental controllers in the back office.
The new app has been revamped giving MCS users traceability of where resources are during the day. Rental controllers now not only know when a job has been started but can also keep track of job progress including when their resources are actively driving or when they have arrived on site.
“The new Resource Mobile app has instant benefits, just from the fact that it is now available on both iOS and Android devices, but the huge benefit comes from the additional visibility of resources on the road. When it comes to ad-hoc planning, having more in-depth visibility of the status of jobs is a game changer," said Josh Lewis president MCS U.S.A.
The new app also includes a number of extra features supporting the rental process, including customized checklists and the ability to send SMS text message alerts to customers to let them know when a driver or technician is on their way.
“The feedback from our users is that they have managed to improve customer service, giving their customers clear and accurate updates on the status of technicians," said Lewis.
The MCS Resource Mobile app is available to download on the App Store and Play Store.
