Magni Telescopic Handlers will be debuting a new mining specific telehandler at MINExpo 2021, which takes place September 13 to 15 in Las Vegas. The TH U 5.8 low-profile fixed telehandler includes features tailor-made for mining environments.

Powered by a Deutz engine, the TH U 5.8 can safely lift to a height of 26 ft. and has a lifting capacity of up to 11,000 lbs. in an ultra-compact 17’ x 8’ frame. The compact design makes this telehandler suited for underground mining and use in tight situations.

The standard hydrostatic transmission allows for precise movements and enhanced maneuverability. Designed for use on steep grades, the telehandler has a special braking system designed specifically for use in mines that complies with various safety regulations. A 50-ppm catalytic converter filters exhausts from the machines, making it safer to work with in enclosed spaces.

In addition, each TH U 5.8 comes equipped with an LMI load limiting system that prevents operators from lifting unsafe loads. For safety purposes, emergency stop buttons are located both inside and outside of the cab.

The TH U 5.8 is compatible with a range of attachments including work platforms, jibs, winches and forks. It is equipped with an RFID system that allows for automatic recognition of attachments and the creation of digital load charts specific to them.
