Husqvarna has released three power cutters, one core drill and one dust extractor adding to its 94V PACE battery system. These products are designed for demolition and construction work.
“As a trusted partner to our customers we want to support them in getting the most demanding jobs done, even in remote, off-grid locations. With the PACE battery system, we have a powerful range of machines as a strong alternative for operators who prefer all the benefits that a battery product can offer, but need high power for heavy-duty applications,” said Joe Taylor, vice president product and service management.
The PACE battery system and diamond tools were developed in-house to deliver the power needed in demanding work environments. To compliment the K 1 PACE power cutter, the K 1 PACE Rescue saw developed for rescue services and the K 1 PACE Rail developed for work on railways, tram tracks and metro systems, the company has introduced two new products to the PACE line-up. These products are the DM 1 PACE core drill and DE 120 H PACE dust extractor for heavy-duty applications.
DM 1 PACE
Designed for heavy-duty drilling applications, both indoors and outdoors and wet and dry drilling, the DM 1 PACE is a powerful battery-powered core drill. It is a stand mounted machine – compatible with the DS 500 drill stand and can be paired with the DE 120 H PACE.
Cable-free operation means there is no need to locate a power source or carry extension cords.
“We know what it takes to get highly demanding jobs done and we don’t compromise on quality and performance. With DM1 PACE, customers get one of the most powerful battery core drills on the market, tailored for the highest demands of drill stand drilling. To optimize performance, it’s paired with D1610 drill bit,” said Taylor.
DE 120 PACE
Husqvarna designed the DE 120 H PACE for use with large handheld power tools, in Ultra-Early Entry sawing, as well as in various surface preparation applications such as floor grinding, shot blasting and scarifying. Its performance, sturdiness and compliance with high safety standards enables use in demanding, heavy-duty applications and provides long working intervals.
Two platforms
With the 36V BLi and the 94V PACE battery systems, Husqvarna offers two proprietary battery solutions.
“We believe in an electric future, and we're committed to further developments of our range on these platforms. We are proud to deliver solutions that support customers in the construction industry on their journey towards reduced fossil dependency," said Taylor.
The Husqvarna PACE battery system supports a growing range of heavy-duty machines that give the operator 94V power which they can apply to jobs at challenging sites where previously only combustion-powered alternatives have been an option. It provides operators the mobility of cordless equipment and cover a range of applications, such as working in remote places with no access to the electrical grid, urban areas where noise level or emissions are an issue or in tunnels and trenches where emissions can cause problems for the operator.
