Husqvarna has expanded its range of battery-powered machines with the launch of a compact power cutter, the K 540i, and a plate compactor, the LF 60i LAT. Both machines are part of the company's BLi-X 36V battery offering, a platform that supports a variety of hardscaping and construction applications.

K 540i Power Cutter
Designed to handle a range of applications, the K 540i is a new 10-in. battery power cutter with an adjustable blade guard and cutting depth up to 4 in. (100 mm). Mattias Holmdahl, senior product manager at Husqvarna Construction explained that it has many features - all while maintaining the factors of performance and operational safety.
“With the K 540i, operators get a capable power cutter that's easy and efficient to use thanks to its strong, (forceful) power-to-weight ratio and low noise. It is a compact power cutter with a low cost of ownership. The K 540i also features X-Halt, an electronic brake system that engages should a kickback occur," said Holmdahl.
For performance, the K 540i power cutter is supplied with Husqvarna diamond blades.

LF 60i LAT Plate Compactor
The LF 60i LAT is the newest product to run on the BLi-X battery system.
"Battery-powered equipment has the potential to transform working conditions for hardscapers in urban environments. Regardless of location, the job can be done with efficiency and ease. This is particularly so when working in residential or enclosed areas where the absence of exhaust fumes and reduced noise levels can make a different to the operator and anyone else in the vicinity," said Holmdahl.
One Battery System
With the Bli-X battery system, Husqvarna provides a range of machines on one 36V battery system. Across the system, a common logic and interface facilitate flexibility. In addition to the new power cutter and plate compactor, the BLi-X battery system also features the DM 540i core drill, the DE 110i dust extractor, the BV 30i screed for concrete placement, the WT 15i water tank and the WL 8i work light.
