CTS Cement has expanded its Home Depot flooring products line with Rapid Set All Tile Mortar. This mortar is strong enough to place large-format tiles on walls and floors.
The Tile Council of America defines “large-format” tile as any tile with at least one 15-in. edge. Polymer-modified Rapid Set All Tile Mortar sets large-format tile made of various materials, such as ceramic, mosaic, porcelain, quarry, glass, veneer, cement and natural stone (slate, travertine, marble, limestone and granite), on walls as well as floors. It’s formulated to provide a long open time and high bond strength in thin- and medium-bed applications.
Rapid Set All Tile Mortar is mixed and applied like traditional tile-setting mortar. Just add water and place up to 3/4-in. thick (in horizontal applications) on concrete, plywood, lightweight concrete or gypsum. Grout the same day.
Available in 50-lb. bags, individuals can use Rapid Set All Tile Mortar on interior and exterior jobsites. It meets the strength requirements of ANSI A118.4, A118.11 and A118.15 standards without additional additives.
