Jaltest, an aftermarket diagnostics tool, has just released its second update of the year: Jaltest 21.2.
In this new version, Jaltest extends its coverage and actions on Material Handling Equipment, and offers all of it in a distinct module called Jaltest MHE. Machines that were abandoned by diagnostics tools such as forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, telescopic handlers, etc., are now also available through Jaltest MHE, which is perfect for those users that would only be interested in this coverage or as a complement to their other works.
But MHE is not the only addition this time. Jaltest has extended the wiring diagrams available to more than electronically controlled systems. The user can now find full vehicle wiring, regardless if it’s ECU controlled or not, without having to exit the diagnostics software. Thanks to the page index and the component search box, the technician will be able to work on the A/C or the vehicle’s light wiring diagram and have a simpler maintenance and replacement job by identifying cables by color and finding the parts reference, within the same diagnostics screen.
Jaltest has been recently approved as a compatible tool by FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles). Since 2018, FCA vehicles have been protected with Secure GateWay (SGW). This specific module serves to prevent unauthorized diagnostics and security attacks, limiting, at the same time, the diagnostics capabilities of any tool. From now on, Jaltest provides in-app access to FCA-protected vehicles equipped with this SGW module, such as in new models of Ram trucks.
This new feature offers an easy connection between Jaltest and OEM authentication servers. To access the SGW security module, the user only needs to submit his FCA credentials in the pop-up menu, and carry on with any advanced diagnostics functionalities available. You can watch this short video to see how the process looks like.
