The Honda EU3200i delivers more power than the Honda EU3000i Handi generator and in a portable package designed for smaller jobs and backup power. The EU3200i offers a range of features such as two-step starting, remote smartphone control, fuel efficiency, extended run times and a portable design.
Capacity
The Honda EU3200i provides 3,200 watts of power, a full 200 more watts than a Honda EU3000i Handi generator, and in a smaller package than generators in the same class. Further, users can double the available power by using an optional parallel kit linking a second EU3200i, boosting the total power to 6,400 watts with less space and weight than a single, high wattage generator.
Portable Functionality
At 22.5 inches x 12.0 in. x 17.8 in., the EU3200i has the smallest footprint of any model in the Honda 3000-watt generator class. The generator also has integrated upper and lower handles at a weight of 59.1 lbs. A no-choke design requires only a flip of a switch and a pull on the recoil rope to power the unit on, and the user can monitor operations through a smartphone or the control panel.
Built-in Bluetooth connectivity, combined with the Honda My Generator Bluetooth App, lets the user monitor critical functions such as fuel level and power output, while the Honda Eco Throttle allows the generator's engine to adjust its speed automatically to produce only the power needed for the application in use.
The Honda EU3200i, equipped with a 1.2-gallon fuel tank, offers fuel efficiency, in part because of the Honda Eco Throttle. Taking a look at run time per tankful, the generator can operate for as long as 3.3 hours at rated load and 8.6 hours at ¼ load. Fuel efficiency also means less time in refueling and more time available for generator-powered activities. The Honda EU3200i also features quiet operation with the newest Super Quiet model operating at sound levels [54-58 dB(A)] as low as a conversation.
Owners of the Honda EU3200i can conduct maintenance with minimal tools. The generator has an oil spout opening and drain gutter for draining oil. Further, electronic circuit breakers protect against overloads and short circuits, and the Honda Oil Alert automatically turns off the engine if it senses that the oil level is critically low. These features prevent damage to the engine or generator, which, in turn, protects the consumer’s investment.
Honda incorporated the Honda GX130 engine as the power behind the new Honda EU3200i. The fuel-injected engine, specifically built for the all-new EU3200i, eliminates the need for a choke, requiring only a flip of a switch and a pull on the recoil rope to start. In addition, fuel injection eliminates the need to clean the carburetor and change the carburetor jetting for performance at high elevations, supporting maintenance and operation.
The Honda EU3200i is available now at Honda Premier dealers nationwide and will be available at all Honda Power Equipment dealers later this summer.
